The Training VISA 407

This visa allows you to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve your skills for your job, area of tertiary study, field of expertise or in a professional development training program in Australia.
This visa allows you to work for an employer in your chosen career and also study for an Australian accredited qualification. For example: If you currently and / or work as an automotive mechanic we will assist you in locating an Australian employer sponsor, where you will work and be paid. We will also assist you in studying at an NAITA approved Australian TAFE, where if you are successful with your studies you will obtain the AUR30620: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology qualification.
You can only work if it is related to your course of study or training.
NAEA can assist you across a full range of industries. Please complete the E.O.I. form.
The Training visa (subclass 407) is a temporary visa. You can apply for an extension.

407: Eligibility summary

You must have at least:
– 12 months training and / or employment experience in your chosen career.
– You must be able to supply evidence of this that can be validated.

– Have at least AUD$9000.00 to pay for recruitment fees, return flights, insurance when in Australia, immigration agent fees, VISA fees, general food and other miscellaneous costs.
– Over 18 years old.
– Have functional English speaking and writing skills. Prefer IELTS 5.0 or above.
– You must not hold another current VISA.
– You must be healthy and not have a criminal record.

There are variations to this visa including working in Australia’s regional areas and if your industry meets Australia’s skill shortages needs. Please contact us if you require more information about this visa type.
You must have at least five years’ experience in your chosen industry.
 
– This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by their employer, live and work in Australia permanently.

186: Eligibility summary

Have an occupation that is on the list of eligible skilled occupations.
Have at least 3 years relevant work experience, unless you are exempt.
Have a positive skills assessment, unless you are exempt.
Have an Australian employer who is willing to sponsor you.
Have functional English.
Meet Australia’s health requirements.

Participate in an eligible course of study in Australia and as a temporary measure, you can work unlimited hours in any industry sector.
